Registration open for July & October classes of 101 online
Registration for the next two offerings of the online version of Course 101, Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal, is now open online and a limited number of spots are open for the July class.
The six-week online course is designed to provide students with an understanding and working knowledge of the procedures and techniques required to estimate the market value of vacant and improved properties using two approaches to value: the cost approach and the sales comparison approach.
The online version was developed for students who prefer to take courses online or who are unable to take in-person courses because of availability or location. In person versions of 101 are also offered in various locations around the United States. A list of locations and dates are available online.
Online classes are limited to 25 students and the rate is $499 for IAAO members and $725 for nonmembers. The initial classes were not approved by the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC), but future classes are anticipated to be granted approval. This online offering meets the course requirements for IAAO designations.
